  • DO I NEED TO TAKE MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP IF MY CAR IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY?

The answer is NO. Your warranty will remain valid so long as you as you adhere to the maintenance requirements in your owner’s manual. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act allows consumers to choose where they have their vehicle’s serviced This is enforced by the FTC. Give us a call if you have any questions.

  • HOW DO I KEEP MY WARRANTY VALID FOR MY CAR, TRUCK OR SUV?

The best way to make sure that your vehicle’s warranty remains valid is to follow the maintenance requirements put forth in your owner’s manual. Keep clear service records so you can show the manufacturer should you need to, invoices or a manual log. Include the date, service and parts, VIN and mileage. We are also a CarFax Approved Auto Repair facility so we can provide you with your vehicle’s service history.

  • WHAT IS PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE?

Preventative maintenance are services that will help avoid hazardous roadside breakdowns or leaving you stranded with a vehicle that won’t start. It is important to bring your vehicle in for regularly scheduled maintenance items such as oil changes. Our ASE Certified technicians can then perform a quick visual inspection and point out items that are in danger of failing. It is generally a good idea to have leaking hoses or cracked belts replaced before they have a chance of breaking all-together.

  • HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET MY OIL CHANGED?

We recommend you look at your owner’s manual. You might be surprised to find out that the old adage stating you should have your oil changed every 3 months or 3,000 miles does not apply to most modern vehicles due to improvements in manufacturing as well as the engine oil used. It is still important to use the weight and type of oil recommended by your manufacturer.

  • DOES MY BRAKE FLUID NEED TO BE CHANGED?

Brake fluid should be checked for acidity every so often. This is because once moisture gets into your brake lines, your brake fluid can become acidic and therefore corrosive. This will eventually eat away at the more vulnerable components of your braking system and cause the need for more involved and intensive repairs later down the road. We can easily check your brake fluid while your vehicle is in our garage for almost any service. Just ask us and we will let you know if you need to have it flushed and replaced or when you can expect to have this service performed.
